Hey guys, happy Friday! I hope everyone had a great week!
A few weeks ago, I was in Highland Park and I stumbled across Rock N Rags, which is seriously the coolest boutique, EVER! I ended up purchasing this dress, a fun jumpsuit and the jeans I posted on Monday. Nothing in the store is over $100, how cool is that?
Lately, I’ve been loving wrap dresses because they are so easy to throw on! I paired this polka-dot wrap dress with one of my favorite fall hats (I found this one at Forever 21 last year and wear it all the time!!)
Hi loves! I hope everyone’s week is off to a good start.
After a busy weekend, I’m looking forward to having a productive week. Monday’s are always a good day to reset and refocus.. don’t you think?!
I’ve been really excited to share this look with you guys because these jeans are everything. Seriously, EVERYTHING! I found them at the cutest boutique in Highland Park (more to come in Friday’s post), but they are legit the comfiest pair I own. Em and I always have a hard time finding denim that we love, but I found this pair for under $100. Emily went out and bought the same pair..
I paired the jeans with this fun, bell-sleeved top from Target. This Fall, it’s all about the unique detailing – with embroidery, lace, or ruffles. This top comes in black and grey, and I loved it so much, I bought both colors. I know I’ll get SO much use out of them all fall and winter.
2017 is flying by! A part of me wishes it would slow down a bit.. but, we’re excited that Fall is officially here!
This past weekend, the weather was BEAUTIFUL here in Chicago so I was so excited to throw on this suede moto-jacket. I bought this jacket last fall in the army green color and wore it a TON – so I thought it’d be fun to incorporate a new color this season. This jacket was originally backordered until November, but they just restocked all sizes here. Although it’s probably not practical to own both the green and brown, I love the way the camel looks with an all black look, or thrown over a printed dress.
Shopbop’s biggest sale of the season is here! There are TWO more days to shop it! This is one of our favorite sales, because a lot of designers that normally don’t discount are included! (PLUS, the more you spend, the more you save – which makes shopping the sale that much easier to justify..) Now that the weather here has turned and it’s starting to cool down, we’re stocking up on some fall staples.
Below are some of our favorite picks:

It’s moving time! This week, we’ve been busy each night getting ready for our move tomorrow. We’re not moving far- just about 1-mile north of where we’re currently at, but it’s a bittersweet move for us. We are SO excited for MORE space, but this was our first “home” together. We moved in together exactly 2 years ago, and this apartment has been many “firsts” for us. We moved in while we were dating, and since then, got engaged and now, we’re married!
We thought it’d be special to get photos taken of us and our apartment before we moved out. Our favorite feature of the apartment, was the rooftop. As you can see here, it has breathtaking views of the city, all of the skyscrapers, and Lake Michigan.
We currently live in the Gold Coast area and love so much about it! This area is going to be hard to beat for us – it has so many great restaurants, beautiful tree-lined streets, and a very short walk to the lake and Michigan Avenue. (One of the best parts for me, is it’s only a 15 minute walk to work!) Although the Gold Coast has so many great elements, we are excited to explore our new area: Old Town!
We’ll be busy moving all weekend, but I can’t wait to show you pictures of our new place. Thanks for reading!
In case you haven’t noticed, we have been having a MAJOR crush on dresses this summer. Both of our “9-5’s” have a very casual dress code, so our “play” clothes oftentimes double as our work-wear. Because of that, it sometimes is too easy to justify shopping..
Dresses and rompers are just so easy to throw on, while at the same time, make you look put together! All you need is a pair of sunnies and cute flats, or wedges. We love transitioning them from Summer into Fall by throwing on a suede or leather motorcycle jacket and booties.
Although we wish we had unlimited funds for shopping (a girl can dream, right??), we love finding great pieces at a great price. One of our favorite online shops, TOBI, offers cute, on-trend pieces for an affordable price. Their prices are very affordable as-is, but they also run great promos. (P.S. They’re running a 50% off promo now for dresses. Enter code: CH50).
Happy Labor Day Weekend! We are enjoying our LDW here in Chicago! This weekend is one of our favorite shopping weekends of the year. Most of the major retailers are having AMAZING sales.
Kurt and I are moving out of our apartment in a few weeks and are on the hunt for some new furniture. This is the perfect weekend for us to pull the trigger on a few pieces, since a lot of these retailers don’t run sales often. Here are a few of the ones I’m shopping this weekend:
Can you believe that it is the last day of August? It seems crazy to think that we are only a few weeks away from Fall. I’ve been thinking a lot about investing in a few staple pieces that can easily transition from season-to-season.
Here are a few pieces I am looking to buy, that can easily transition from summer to fall.
1) Jean skirt: It’s so easy to throw on a jean skirt in the summer and pair it with a simple t-shirt and sandals, but I plan on also wearing it this fall with a chunky sweater and booties. Here are two options I’m loving (#1, #2)
2)Lightweight sweaters or cardigan: A neutral cardigan is perfect for a cooler, fall day with booties and jeans, but it also can be worn now with a dress. I bought this one during the anniversary sale, and love this one.
3) Booties: Booties can easily transition from summer to fall. They look adorable paired with flouncy dresses and skirts in the summer, but are the perfect fall staple. You can’t go wrong with this black pair, or this camel pair.
4) Distressed jeans: A pair of distressed jeans are a must, and they are always cute! You can wear them rolled up with a tee, or paired with a chunky sweater and leather jacket in the fall. Loving this pair (on sale!!) and these.
5.) Jean jacket: A jean jacket is light enough for cool, summer nights, but also a great choice for fall; it looks so cute thrown over a flannel, or maxi dress. These two shades are perfect for transitioning from summer to fall: One, Two

Today, I’m talking about one trend I can’t get enough of this summer: wrap dresses! This trend has been so popular, and there are so many fun, different prints. From polka dots, stars, and colorful florals, these dresses can easily transition from summer into fall.
Happy Wednesday, loves! This summer, gingham is EVERYWHERE. We love the print, as it just screams summer. We picked up a few pieces for our closets in black and white gingham. Now that summer is almost over, there are a TON of rompers, dresses, and tops on sale in the gingham print.
